Human Biology U.S. to test bird flu vaccine

    The CDC issued warnings earlier this week that avian influenza is of great concern and greater survellance is needed. It is not a matter of if but when. With these warnings in mind the CDC is preparing to stockpile antiviral drugs and create a avian flu vaccine that can be easily cultured and distributed to the population.

    I think the actions by the CDC and European health agencies show that an avian flu mutation into a human to human transmissible form is emminent.

    A frightening and sobering thought considering how many lives could potentially be lost in a pandemic.
