What it takes to grow good nutrition isn't as complicated as it seems. If you feed the soil, you feed the plant- which feeds YOU.

I put some compost in a flower bed near the foundation of our house last year. There were not ANY worms. This year I planted herbs and in just ONE shovel full of dirt there were 10 worms. True- the compost took a long time to finish (6 months) and I let it sit in the flower bed over the winter (another 3 months) But the soil is ALIVE.

Compost does wonders. Anyone who has a garden should have one. Hell, whether you have a garden or not, you should have one - saves a lot of waste from going in the trash.
