History My Last Name

    Hi my name is Daniel Held and my last name in German means-(directly translated) Hero, and i was hoping that someone may have access to files or programs that could give me more information on what my ancestors did and who they were.

    Hey thanks a bunch i appreciate it. And the Held back in German can be pronounced Held or Heldt so i think thats why there is that confusion of last names.

    I lived in Boston for 6 years and met a guy named Richard Hurtz from Holden Mass . I always wondered what his parents were thinking ! (I called him #@!&%)

    i wounder if your last name translated were coward you would be half as interested you are not your past anciestors or indeed their actions a past act by someone else is to be noticed but not coverted be your own man my friend
