Phase I testing of a new drug to fight leukemia has shown to be more effective than researchers had hoped.

Of 36 patients, identified as having advanced CML, 31 completely stopped producing leukemia cells.

For a layman, such as myself, this is such an incredible breakthrough and the story itself should be front page news. Are we finally coming close to beating cancer in general?

We will have to wait and see if there are any bad side effects. If not, STOP THE PRESSES!

So far so good eh? But pine is right its too early to tell. Any way it takes like 50000000 years for a new drug to be put on the US market. I would love to see a great canncer fighter out expecailly leukemia considering my grandmother and grandfather were lost to it.....
