    I've heard many different animals being called the:
    biggest-blue whale
    fastest- falcon in air, cheetah on land
    loudest-howler monkeys on land, blue whale in water

    any other extremes you can add to the list??

    Here's a few more:

    Rhinoceros Beetle - The rhinoceros beetle can carry 850 times its own weight.

    Largest Land Carnivore:
    Polar Bear - The average adult male weighs 850-900 lbs.(380-400 kg), record set in 1960 was 2,210 lbs. (995 kg).

    Oldest Living Creature:
    Madagascar Radiated Tortoise - A Madagascar radiated tortoise (Geochelone radiata) presented to the Tongan royal family by the British explorer Captain Cook in either 1773 or 1777 lived to the age of at least 188 years old. :wow:
