    Here is a random problem, anyone wanna try to solve it.

    2xy(y')-y^2=x^2

    ah boy DiffEQ is coming back to me. Dont you need two of these equations, you solve for X in one then plug that in for X in the other so you have all Y terms, or vice versa. Ex.

    2X=3Y and 7X=5Y Solve first for X:
    X=3Y/2

    Now plug this into the second for X:
    7(3Y/2)=5Y Solve:

    21Y/2=5Y
    Yadda yadda, Im not gonna carry it out any farther you get the point.

    The good thing about being a geophysicist is that mathematicians have already solved my equations for me: its just plug and chug as we say. The Wave Equation for surface waves which is Benoulli based.
