Well it seems as if researchers from the Natural Environment Research Council have found a new tribe of man in Mexico. What is interesting is this new tribe would not have migrated across the Bering Straight rather they would have employed other methods to get here.

died out in the 18th century, lived in Mexico... I am surprised i havent learned about these people before. I just did a unit on the Maya, Inca, Aztecs, Toltecs and Chichimecas. Why was the Pericues tribe excluded from this list?

    pineappleupsidedown,
Perhaps you were either using an out-dated book(s) OR perhaps the information is new enough that it hasn't made it to the books?

    Just a guess.

Remember there are other theories about how Amerindians got there. There's the transpacific theory (Paul Rivet) and that one of southern travellers (from Australasia to South America). Ah..and those involving egyptians, aliens, and the Lost Tribe of Israel
