    Hello Mark,

I have lived all over the globe and have seen many different forms of wildlife, perhaps you as well. My guess, and this is just judging from what the picture offers to the observer, is that it is a type of priarie dog or hyena, that is of course missing most of its hair and thus looks quite different. However, I cannot rule out that it is some form of squirrel judging by the body shape, ear and facial structure, as well as the presenting teeth.

Someone on ATS has suggested a hairless racoon,.. but honestly I have no idea.

That doesnt look real. Is it diseased?

How can you be sure? I have never seen anything like that before.

plus Fish & Game has been called out to identify it.

    We will know shortly.

    It's official:

DWR has inspected and took tissue samples.

The 'beastie', was a Racoon with Mange.

Too bad, I was hoping for something much more weird.

    Regardless, there it is.

hmmm..... thinking about this from an interested bystander point of view. If something adorable as a raccoon looks that nasty naked - what does that say about the hairless human population?
