Yes it is.
But I will say when it comes to ID, it is way worthwhile.
It has been a hard couple of weeks for me.
First I setup a mechanism that would identify the bounced emails in the ID mailbox, in preperation of the new newsletter. This produced a considerable number of members that were placed into "Awaiting Email Confirmation" status. Members with this status cant post until they verify their email address which requires them to actually be able
I know I havent blogged about ID in a little while, but there has been quite a few changes that have been implemented and were necessary.
Some good, some bad (at least viewed from the frontside).
But I assure you all changes were absalutely necessary to get ID in the shape it needed to be in for the benefit of our community.
I will list a few of them below,...
1 - New members and members with less than 5 posts cannot post links in their replies or threads,
Some months back, I began a series of long overdue upgrades. The server operating system and support software was outdated. The forum scripts were outdated and had significant flaws. Basically, ID was a mess, albiet operational.
I originally began with getting a new server and migrating ID over to it. But after a lengthy discussion with my host NOS, we determined this was not going to be necessary. So the new server was cancelled and replaced with a plan of action.
